HALL RENTAL

The North Washington Social Hall seats a maximum of 350 persons.

Listed below is information concerning renting the North Washington VFD Social Hall.  You will be required to sign a contract at the time of making your reservation.  For more information and a copy of the contract, please contact:

No rentals allowed for money-making events.

Active members of the North Washington Volunteer Fire Department in good standing may rent the building for themselves (or an immediate family member only) for $200.00.

Non-members may rent the building for $400.00.

A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 is payable at the time the rental is made.

A security deposit of $200.00, along with the balance of the rental cost, is payable one week prior to the scheduled rental date.  (This allows time for the checks to clear the bank.  There is a $20 charge for returned checks.  The renter will have one week to make good on a returned check, or rental can be refused unless other arrangements can be made.)

If the hall and grounds are left undamaged and the hall is cleaned, the $200.00 deposit will be refunded to the renter.

A cleaning fee of $100 is optional if the renter chooses not to clean themselves.

Hourly rates are available for baby showers, reunions, birthday parties, anniversary parties, etc. at a rate of $150.00 for no more than three (3) hours.  If more time is needed, or a band or DJ is present, the cost will be $200.00.  It will be left up to the renter to decide the amount due.  These  rentals will only be held between the hours of 1PM and 7PM.  A $150.00 deposit is required.  When the hall and grounds are inspected and if there are no damages or cleaning required, your deposit will be refunded.

School functions may have free use of the hall but are responsible for leaving the hall in the same condition as prior to the event -- this includes cleaning.  If the conditions are not met, the club or organization will no longer have free use of the hall.

For Saturday rentals, the key can be picked up at 5PM Friday unless the hall is rented for that evening.  In the event the hall is occupied on Friday evening, the key can be picked up at 10PM on Friday.  The key must be returned by noon on Sunday following the event.  The key is to be left at Peg Hortert's house which is the white house beside the Rodeo Grounds.  Place the key in the black mailbox beside the back door.

The renter agrees that all activities and entertainment will cease by Midnight (12AM).

The hall and grounds will be inspected and if no damages are found, your deposit will be refunded.

Please observe a few rules:

  • When the air conditioner is on, please keep doors and windows closed.

  • No tacks or nails in the walls.  Please use masking tape or party tack.

  • No sitting or standing on tables or counters.

  • We have just purchased the new "Bali" Venetian blinds at some expense.  These are not to be played with.  The blinds will be checked before and after each function and if broken, the renter will be responsible to replace them.

  • If you make reservations for 200, you will pay for 200.  If there are more people, we will notify the renter and they along with an Auxiliary member will count the extras.  You will be responsible to pay for extra meals.

  • If you pay for all the food and prepare it, then after the help has eaten, you can take all the food home that is left over.

  • If you have reservations for 200 and only 150 attend, then after the help has eaten, you can take the remaining food home.  Please bring containers.

  • If there are any questions, please ask!  We want to keep our hall as nice as we can and we know that you do, too!

For Banquets Only:

If the renter wishes to have the NWVFD Auxiliary prepare, serve and clean-up after the meal, rental of the hall will be $200.00 plus the charge of so much per dinner, if they have a band or DJ they are expected to leave the hall in order, i.e. trash picked up, floor in big hall swept, tables wiped and chairs on top of tables.  Rental will be $100 if no DJ or band.

Use of kitchen facilities - renter may use sinks for clean up.

Renter may use one (1) designated refrigerator for storing cold items.

Electric may be used for warming in their roasters.

Renter will not be permitted to use serving utensils, plates, cups, glasses, silverware, ovens, or place heavy objects in the sinks, or coffee pots.  Anyone requesting these items should have them listed in the last section of the agreement/contract, approved, and initialed by President.

Checks should be made payable to:  North Washington Volunteer Fire Co.  There is a $20 charge for any returned checks.
